How do I place an order?
There are a number of convenient and easy methods to help you place your order with John Lomas Custom Furniture. If you’re interested in a piece currently on this site, please feel free to use the secure shopping cart to place your order. You can also place an order directly with John at (802) 747-8564 or by email at email@example.com.
If you are interested in having John create a custom design, please visit the Custom Design page, where you can start by filling out the initial inquiry form or contact John directly by phone or email.
Is John's work guaranteed?
John Lomas Custom Furniture stands 100% behind each piece of furniture, guaranteed for the lifetime of the original owner. Each piece is guaranteed against structural defects in materials and workmanship. Should either of these defects arise, John will repair or replace the piece at his discretion.
What is the expected lead time?
Average lead times are around 12 weeks, but they can vary depending on the season and the economy. A more precise lead time will be provided at the time of order.
What are the payment terms?
A 50% deposit is required to initiate your order. The balance, including shipping charges and any applicable taxes, is due prior to shipment. Payment can be made by Check, VISA or MasterCard.
Are upholstery costs included?
Some pieces require upholstery. Upholstery labor is included in the furniture price, but cover material is not. 3/4 yard of standard width fabric, with normal pattern repeat, will cover 2 standard chair seats. One large leather hide will cover a set of 6 to 8 standard chair seats, depending on the size and quality of the hide.
What are the wood options?
Prices listed are based on construction using American Black Cherry or Maple. Quartersawn White Oak can be used for an additional 10% and Mahogany or Walnut are available for an additional 15%. Exotic woods used as accents are included in the quoted price. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss the use of other wood choices.
Can I get a wood sample?
Samples are available for wood and stain choices. Please contact John directly to discuss.
What about shipping?
Furniture prices quoted do not include shipping charges. Shipping is via a fully insured, blanket wrap service. Your furniture will be set-up in your home or office and all packing materials removed. Shipping will be quoted at the time of order. Vermont state sales tax is waived for all shipments that leave the state.
Please inform us of any narrow doorways, stairways and tight corners, so we can plan tricky deliveries with our shipper. A careful inspection of each piece should be made at the time of delivery. If any damage is found, you must note your bill of lading and confirm the damage with the shipper, so we can take the appropriate action. After pieces have been inspected and placed, the sale is final.
